We've called it ONMYO which refers to the Way of Ying and Yang. In ancient Japan, they had government officials that were Onmyoji, which literally means yin-and-yang masters, which fits perfectly with this art piece.
We've called it ONMYO which refers to the Way of Ying and Yang. In ancient Japan, they had government officials that were Onmyoji, which literally means yin-and-yang masters, which fits perfectly with this art piece.
Perfect balance is reached in this design, as we've got two fishes that are aligned in a Yin Yang shape. An equilibrium of the mechanical and the organic is what we tried to reach. The left fish is artificial and the right fish is biological, yet both are in perfect symbiosis together. The future doesn't always need to look grim and dystopian, but can be hopeful and utopian as well!
