Cyberpunk Edgerunners Outfits: How to Wear the Look in Real Life

Edgerunners 2 is out. Here is how to wear the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners look in real life: the palette, five crew-inspired outfits and fit tips, no costume needed.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners Outfits: How to Wear the Look in Real Life

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners did something most cyberpunk stories never manage: it made people want the clothes. People have been hunting for cyberpunk Edgerunners outfits since 2022, and with season two out today, a lot more are about to start. The short answer to "how do I dress like that without looking like I am in costume?" is this: a dark base, one loud saturated piece, an exaggerated silhouette, and one bit of chrome or glow. The rest of this guide shows you how to build that from real clothes you will still wear in January.

Quick note before we start: NEOMACHI is an independent brand from Amsterdam. We are not affiliated with CD Projekt Red, Studio Trigger or Netflix, and nothing here is official merchandise. It is original artwork in the same visual language, which is exactly what this guide is about.

Edgerunners 2: what we know so far

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 premieres on Netflix on 20 October 2026. CD Projekt Red describes it as a ten-episode standalone series made with animation studio Trigger, following a new cast of characters across Night City in "a raw, human story of revenge and redemption". So you do not need to have seen season one, and nobody from the original crew needs to come back for the look to carry over. Trigger's visual style does that on its own.

We will not guess at the new characters' wardrobes before we have watched it. What we can do is break down the design language that made the first season so copyable, because that is what you are really dressing in.

What makes the Edgerunners look different

Most cyberpunk fashion is built on restraint: mostly black, one muted accent, quiet techwear. We cover that school in the anime that built the cyberpunk aesthetic. Edgerunners turned the dial the other way. Four things define it:

  • Saturated colour against black. Acid yellow, hot magenta, electric cyan. Not pastel, not muted. Each character tends to own one colour.
  • Exaggerated silhouettes. Jackets that are much too big, tops that are much too small. Proportion does as much work as print.
  • Visible body tech. Chrome lines, glowing eyes, implants worn like jewellery.
  • Street clothes, not armour. Under all the chrome, the crew wear hoodies, bombers, oversized jackets and boots. That is the part you can actually buy.

Season one's best-known looks follow those rules exactly: David's oversized yellow jacket over a dark base, Lucy's white bodysuit with a short black jacket and pastel hair, Rebecca's huge jacket swallowing a tiny frame. You do not need to copy any of them. You need to copy the logic.

Five Edgerunners-inspired outfits for real life

Each of these is built around a crew role rather than a single character, so it works whether you loved season one or are starting with season two tonight.

1. The street kid: dark base, one loud layer

This is the easiest one to wear every day. Black joggers, black boots or chunky trainers, a plain tee, and a hoodie with a graphic that does the shouting. The EVO hoodie is built on the idea of transformation, the moment the ordinary turns into something sharper, which is about as on-theme as a street-kid arc gets. If you own a jacket in one strong colour (yellow, red, cyan), throw it over the top and leave it open. That single saturated layer is the whole Edgerunners trick.

2. The netrunner: sleek, monochrome, one glow

Netrunners live in the network, so their clothes stay close to the body and out of the way. Go tonal: black on black, or white on black, with one accent colour you repeat in a single detail (a phone case, a lanyard, headphones). The LEAD zip hoodie works well here: a clean kanji for "lead" at the centre and a zip you can wear half-open over a fitted black tee. Add slim joggers and over-ear headphones and you are done.

3. The oversized gunner: play with proportion

This is the Rebecca rule: a top that is far too big over legs that are slim. Our hoodies are slim and true to size, so for this look size up one or two (check how a hoodie should fit before you pick). The BLLTPRF hoodie carries 防弾, the kanji for bulletproof, across the back, which suits a crew member who walks into firefights for fun. Pair it with skinny black jeans or leggings and heavy boots so the silhouette reads as deliberate.

4. The chromed-up muscle: the bomber

Every crew has the big one who goes in first. Their clothes are simple, wide at the shoulder and built to take a hit. A bomber jacket does that in real life. The DESUKODO premium bomber, with its digital skull and coded glyphs, reads as "do not start something" from across a room. Wear it over a plain tee with straight-leg trousers. For the chrome, skip the face paint and add one metal detail instead: a chain, a ring, a steel watch. More jackets live in our cyberpunk bombers.

5. The night-shift fixer: techwear edition

For the person who organises the job and never goes on it. Lighter, more technical, lots of pockets. The EVO windbreaker with the EVO joggers gives you a matching techwear set without looking like a uniform. Keep the top layer zipped, add a crossbody bag, and let the graphic be the only loud thing. If you are unsure where techwear ends and cyberpunk begins, techwear vs cyberpunk explains it.

The Edgerunners colour palette, in clothes

Trigger's palette is loud, but it is not random. Freeze almost any frame and you will see a black or deep-navy majority with one or two saturated colours fighting for attention. To translate that into an outfit:

  1. Keep about 70 to 80% of the outfit dark. Black, charcoal, navy.
  2. Pick one saturated colour and commit. Yellow, magenta or cyan. One.
  3. Repeat it once, small. Laces, a lighter, a phone case, a hair clip. The repeat is what makes it look styled rather than accidental.
  4. Add one reflective or glowing element. Metal jewellery, a reflective strip, a USB LED on a bag strap for nights out.

The reasoning behind this is in our deep dive on the cyberpunk colour palette, and if you want a costume version for the end of the month, cyberpunk Halloween costume ideas takes these roles all the way.

Why we do not sell "official" Edgerunners merch

Search for Edgerunners clothing and you will find plenty of shirts printed with screenshots of the characters. Unless they come from a licensed store, that is someone else's artwork used without permission. We would rather do what the show does: original designs, drawn by real artists, in a shared aesthetic. If you want the official logo, buy it from official channels. If you want to dress like you live in Night City, that is our job. For the full picture of the style, start with our anime streetwear guide or Cyberpunk 2077 inspired clothing, which maps the game's four fashion styles onto real wardrobes.

Frequently asked questions

When does Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 come out?

It premieres on Netflix on 20 October 2026. It is a ten-episode standalone series from CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger, with a new cast of characters.

What colours are in the Edgerunners style?

A dark base (black, navy, charcoal) with one or two highly saturated accents, most often acid yellow, magenta and cyan. Keep the accent to one colour per outfit for everyday wear.

How do I dress like Edgerunners without looking like a cosplay?

Copy the logic, not the character: a dark base, one saturated or graphic hero piece, an exaggerated silhouette, and one metallic or glowing detail. Skip wigs, logos and exact replicas.

Is NEOMACHI official Edgerunners or Cyberpunk 2077 merchandise?

No. We are an independent brand and not affiliated with CD Projekt Red, Trigger or Netflix. Our designs are original artwork inspired by the wider cyberpunk aesthetic.

Should I size up for an oversized cyberpunk hoodie?

Yes. Our hoodies are true to size and slim, so go up one size for a relaxed fit and two for a properly oversized look.
